CHILDREN AND FAMILY SOCIAL WORKER I/II DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES JACKSON COUNTY - BLACK RIVER FALLS Jackson County DHHS is seeking to fill an Initial Assessment Children and Family Social Worker position. Overall responsibilities focus on investigating reports of child abuse and/or neglect and making decisions about child safety. This work is fast-paced, and requires frequent unscheduled home visits, parent and child interviews, collaboration with community partners, detailed documentation, and testifying in Court. Position is also part of the on-call rotation. Requirements: A valid Wisconsin driver's license, and a Wisconsin Social Work Certification or a license from a state with a reciprocity agreement with the State of Wisconsin is required. If not certified at the time of application, must have applied to the State of Wisconsin for a Temporary or Training Certificate and obtain certification by the date of hire. Social Worker I: Salary Range $21.73 - $22.04 per hour, Social Worker II: $22.04 - $25.48 per hour, plus excellent County benefit package and State retirement.
