For more than 25 years, Menomonie Rotarians have held an annual rose sale.
Funds raised from selling bouquets of a dozen red roses helps support community groups and projects including the Menomonie Police Department, Red Cedar Watershed Conference, Bridge to Hope, Literacy Volunteers, Dunn County Historical Society, Friends of the Red Cedar Trail, Menomonie Senior Center, Alano Club, Stepping Stones, Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts, Junior Achievement, and many more.
This year’s sale kicked off on Sept. 13 with Ben Buehler, Rotary Rose committee chair, providing an overview to the club that included the announceme that buyers can now take advantage of ordering their roses online. A special incentive this year for all buyers is that each purchase comes with a coupon for 20 percent off at Jake’s or the Silver Dollar.
Roses may be ordered through Oct. 2 and will be hand delivered on Wednesday, Oct. 25. New members are always welcome. For more info, visit www.menomonierotary.org or on Facebook.
