ORO VALLEY, Ariz./MENOMONIE — Larry (Chazz) Charles Wold, 75, of Oro Valley formerly of Menomonie, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at Northwest Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. He had multiple surgeries and faced challenging recoveries with great determination over the last year.
Larry was born Aug. 21, 1942, to Ardis (Siler) Wold and Charles Wold in Menomonie where he grew up. He was graduated from Menomonie High School in 1961. He joined the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1967. He was married to Mary Smith. They had one son, Brent. They later divorced. In 1977 Larry was married to Shari (Pecore) Fisher.
Larry worked at Fabri-Tech in Eau Claire, Sanna Dairies in Menomonie and Chetek, Pabst Beer Distributing in Menomonie, and later owned and operated Wold Septic Service. In time tent rental was added to the business.
Larry was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan and an active member of the Lion’s Club. He loved to golf and hunt and enjoyed socializing with friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Shari; two stepchildren, Kirk (Kathy) Fisher, Kim (Tim Martin) Fisher; four stepgrandchildren, Andrew Fisher, Ashley Fisher, Astrid Martin, Madeline Martin.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brent; his parents; and his brother, Steven.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Bob Friese officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 12:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be in Cedar Falls Cemetery in the town of Red Cedar, Dunn Co. A reception will follow at 4 p.m. at Jake’s Supper Club.
