DALLAS, Wis. — Lila M. Nelson, 87, of Dallas passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, Wis.
The former Lila Flug was born Oct. 18, 1930, in the town of Wilson, Dunn Co. Wis., to Carl and Etta (McEwen) Flug. She grew up in the Ridgeland area and graduated from Colfax High School. She was married to Marvin Nelson.
Lila enjoyed crocheting, knitting and other needle work as well as fishing and playing cribbage. She also enjoyed family gatherings and she loved her nieces and nephews dearly. Lila always kept track of every birthday, wedding and anniversary to be sure to pass along best wishes.
Lila is survived by her sister, Lorraine Peterson; brother-in-law, Wayne (Marlene) Nelson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; brothers, LeRoy Flug and Milo Flug; and sisters, Irene Nelson and Mildred Mork.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Heather Kistner officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in New Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery in Dallas.
