Roger R. Schutt, 82, of Menomonie passed away at home Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017.
Roger was born April 5, 1935, in the town of Sherman, Dunn Co. Wis., to Gardiner and Doris (Besch) Schutt. Roger was born on the family farm and died on the family farm just as he wanted.
He graduated from Menomonie High School. Roger married Norma Behling June 18, 1954, at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Roger farmed most of his life. He not only worked for Sanna Dairies but also sold milk to them. Roger and Norma were very proud of their milk quality awards.
Roger enjoyed rock collecting, gold panning, metal detecting, reading, and visiting with neighbors. He and Norma also enjoyed traveling all over the country collecting rocks for their collection.
He is survived by wife, Norma; three daughters, Coleen (Tim) Aamodt of Menomonie, Lori (Mark) Sheehan of Eau Claire, Tammy (Dave) Pellett of Menomonie; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother, Wayne Schutt; sister, Lois Brooks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, three special neighbor girls, Isabella, Kate, Ihle; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
