The Reach Foundation is returning with its Reach for the Stars gala night fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Florian Gardens in Eau Claire. In support of the Reach for the Stars Scholarship fund (including SES veteran-focused programming), the event includes dinner, a silent auction, and entertainment. Following a musical performance by Rep. Warren Petryk, The Special Angels, a local high school aged show choir, will be returning to headline.
Since 1963, Reach Inc. has served adults and children with disabilities in the Chippewa Valley. The nonprofit is dedicated to providing innovative opportunities for its members, fostering independence and building community relationships. Many attend programming part time and would like to increase their hours, but are unable to do so financially. The Reach for the Stars Scholarship funds offer them assistance to attend Reach full time.
The scholarship also provides Reach’s Supported Employment Services program which aims to help veterans with disabilities obtain gainful employment in the community.
