In Sunday’s article about the April 2 election results, there was an error made by the News in the trustees’ race for the village of Knapp. Incumbent Eugene Lemke was reported to have received 35 votes, when he actually garnered 55 nods — making him the third highest vote-getter in the village.

And although the numbers still aren’t available for the Town of Lucas race, the News has learned that incumbent town clerk, Amy Gjetson lost her reelection bid to challenger Stacey Simonson. Town Chair Angela Davis did not seek reelection; running unopposed, Eugene Ruenger won the seat. Despite write-in attempts by Jeannie Larson and Joe Haefner, trustee incumbents Bob Knopps and Steven Olson were reelected, as was town treasurer, Barbara Lande.
