Free fallin'

Ole Peterson of Menomonie belly flops into the ice-cold waters of Lake Menomin during Saturday's Polar Plunge at Wakanda Park. The Special Olympics event saw 170 jumpers (50 teams) raise just over $40,000. Peterson jumped alongside the UW-Stout Water Ski team, which collected $1,251 for their plunge into the frozen depths. Though Peterson is not a part of the ski team, he participates in the Special Olympics as an athlete and is one of the Blue Devils' biggest fans.
