A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 resulted in two injuries.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident took place at 6:10 a.m. Friday on I-94 near Elk Mound in Dunn County. One vehicle rolled into the right ditch, and one occupant was airlifited from the scene. To allow one westbound lane of the interstate to remain open, the helicopter was directed to land on State Highway 29 westbound, closing highway for close to 30 minutes.

Another vehicle occupant was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Assisting agencies ncluded Elk Mound Fire, Colfax Ambulance, Mayo 1 Helicopter, Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and Dunn County Highway Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the state patrol.
