Christmas for Kids is underway, thanks to the efforts of Dunn County Human Services, area businesses and cooperatives, and numerous volunteers. New toys are needed!

The public is asked to help spread the warmth and joy of the holiday season through a toy or monetary donation. Your one gift will bring many smiles to an area youngster!

Christmas for Kids is a community program made up of volunteers, that collects donated new toys for our local children, infants through age 14 years, that otherwise might not have been able to receive gifts this holiday season.

Toys will be collected through Dec. 13, 2004. The following local businesses are designated drop-off sites. 3M, Bremer Bank Locations Bodyworks Athletic Club, First Bank & Trust Locations, Independence State Bank in Elk Mound, K-Mart, Lammer's Foods, Leever's, M&I Bank, MarketPlace Foods, Menomonie Chrysler, Bank Mutual, Myrtle Werth Hospital, Phillips Plastics, Red Cedar Bank Locations, Red Cedar Chiropractic, Midwest Wireless, Dollar Tree, Chippewa Valley Technical College, Citizen's State Bank, Village Cleaners, Wal-Mart, WESTconsin Credit Union and West Wisconsin Telcom Cooperative.

If you would prefer to send a monetary donation for the purchase of a child's gift, make the check payable to "Christmas for Kids" and mail to Dunn County Human Services, P.O. Box 470, Menomonie, WI 54751. If you would also like to volunteer to help wrap toys, please call 232-1110, ext. 260 and leave a message.
