The Menomonie Lions announce a donation of $5,000 to Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity (CVH4H) to complete critical home repairs in the Menomonie area. The funds will provide needed home improvements for a number of local families that have limited assets.

All homeowners that will be served through the Critical Home Repair program are unable to maintain their homes due to income or ability. Typical home repairs will include exterior items such as deck repair, handicap ramp building, painting, door replacement, and landscaping.

Aaron Czappa, CVH4H executive director, notes that the organization has provided new housing to more than six families in Menomonie, most recently with a new build in 2016 and a deck repair project in 2017.

Additional materials for the home repair projects will be donated by the ReStore located in Eau Claire. The store sells donated furniture, appliances, home furnishings, construction materials, and remodeling supplies at discounted rates. All proceeds are used to support the Habitat mission.
