Ophthalmologist Matthew Cooke, M.D., recently joined the Eye Care Center at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Dr. Cooke received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He received his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. Dr. Cooke completed an ophthalmology residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and a glaucoma fellowship at Dean McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Cooke is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Christian Ophthalmology Society. His professional interests include cataract surgery and medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma.
In his spare time, Dr. Cooke enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, hiking, watching sports, reading, playing cards and board games, and traveling.
