Got milk?

A Mondovi/Rock Creek man is out a third of a tank of milk after someone entered his barn and drained a portion of the milk from the tank sometime overnight.

The man contacted the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office around 8:30 a.m. the morning of Nov. 16 to report the incident on his property in the E8300 block of Highway 85. He told deputies he discovered items had been moved around inside the milk barn and the bottom valve of his milk tank had been opened and a third of the milk had been dumped into the drain.

He said that he checked with multiple neighbors, but no one else had any issues. He told deputies he has no known issues with anyone and has no idea who would have done it. He also had contacted his milk buyer who, after being informed about the matter, said he could not buy the remaining milk as it may have been tampered with.

The value of the milk in the bulk tank is estimated at $3,500.
