An Eau Claire woman, known for stealing merchandise from various superstores in Chippewa Falls, was caught on camera pushing out a cart containing more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in Menomonie.

Walmart’s loss prevention department reviewed video footage of a woman, later identified as Mandalyn Ferguson, entering the store, shopping, and then leaving the store with a loaded cart without paying around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 24.

The loss prevention manager contacted the Menomonie Police Department to report the theft around 2 p.m. on March 3, which tallied 61 items totaling $1,565.07.

The manager told police he had identified Ferguson as the same person involved in multiple push-outs in the Chippewa Falls area. He contacted the Chippewa Falls Police Department about the incident, and the CFPD issued a “be on the lookout” post on their Facebook page to help catch Ferguson.

Menomonie police were then informed that Ferguson was currently incarcerated in the Chippewa County Jail as of March 3 on a $1,000 bond. MPD issued a warrant for her arrest via a probable cause affidavit signed by a Dunn County judge.
