As usual, it was standing room only for the annual Fashion without Fabric, held at UW-Stout on Saturday. Pictured, here, A Monumental Ending took the Faculty Award. It was modeled by Kelsey Pintens and designed by Maria DeBroux, Allison Kraus and Pintens and constructed with cardboard, mesh wire screening, paint, tissue paper and glass.

The popular showcase of creations by 3-D Design classes was comprised of 78 entries — the work of 150 students. Entries — made of everything and anthing except fabric — were judged on concept, design and creativity.  Katie Thoma was the show coordinator for this year’s presentation, “Tomorrow is History.”

Awards went to Record the Unforgotten (Working the Crowd); Enclosures (Best in Show); A Victim of History (Couture); Shifting Roots and A Spot of Tea — So Chic (Attention to Detail); Unintentional Autobiography (second place); and All Geared Up (third place).
