MIDDLETON - Josh Grisa (Sr, Merrill) turned in his lowest scorecard of the spring in handily winning medalist honors at the Edgewood College Spring Invitational Friday at Bishops Bay Country Club as UW-Stout’s golf team won the team event by nine strokes.

Grisa scored an even par 72 to pace the relatively small field of 23 in a triangular meet along with Edgewood College and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. As a team, Stout hit 313 to Edgewood's 322 and MSOE's 335.

Sam Carr finished third with a 79. Chris Zachman  was fifth (81), Jake Ash was eighth (82), Mike Schmitz  was 12th (84), Calvin Carpenter 15th (87 and Blake Lentner 18th (88) on the cool, wet day.

Grisa is in the chase to secure an individual berth to the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship. Bids will be awarded Monday, May 6.
