Menomonie high school senior Tyra Boettcher was named to the Big Rivers All-Conference first team for the 2017-18 girls’ basketball season.

Boettcher, a NCAA Division II selection, wrapped up her final high school season with 14.2 points per game (ppg), scoring a season-high 22 points on Jan. 5 against Holmen.

Boettcher will join the Maverick’s basketball roster at Minnesota State-Mankato in the fall.

Junior Kylie Mogen was a second team selection, scoring 16.5 ppg with a season high of 32 points against Eau Claire Memorial on Jan. 19. Mogen currently has an offer to play at Sioux Falls, a NCAA Division II school.

Classmate Lindsey Johnson earned honorable mention, scoring 7.6 ppg on the season.
