Four members of the UW-Stout football team received recognition on the 26th USA College Football Division III Preseason All-American Team.

Defensive lineman Jamie Rohrig (Sr, Owatonna) was a second team selection. Quarterback Hank Kujak (Sr, Blair), linebacker Luke Bakkum (Sr, Oconomowoc) and defensive back Tyler Naatz (Sr, Menomonie) were honorable mention selections.

Rohrig finished the 2013 with 32 tackles, 11 solo. Rohrig had 5.0 tackles for losses of 23 yards, 2.5 sacks and two pass break ups.

Kujak was the starter all season at quarterback and threw for 2,183 yards, completing 193-of-368 attempts for a percentage of 52.4 percent. He tossed 11 touchdown passes and ran for one more. Kujak finished the season with 159 yards rushing.

Bakkum was the team’s leader in tackles, and second in the WIAC, recording 94 tackles, 50 solo. He posted a team-best 8.5 tackles for loss, had three sacks, picked off a pass and had three pass break ups.

Naatz closed out the year with 62 tackles, third on the team, and had 31 solo tackles. He had two tackles for loss.and a team high six pass break ups.

The Blue Devils report to preseason camp Friday, Aug. 15. Stout’s first game is Saturday, Sept. 6 at Dakota Wesleyan University. Stout’s first home game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13 when the Blue Devils host Loras College at 2 p.m. at Don & Nona Williams Stadium.
