Leading the Mustangs on the field is returning first-team all-BRC catcher Brooke Stainer as well as returning second-team firstbaseman Morgan Lecheler and centerfielder Taylor Rudiger. Stainer carried a .444 batting average and .960 fielding percentage last season while leading the team in doubles (15), home runs (four) and RBI (26). Lecheler led the 2012 team in runs scored with 27 and had a .388 batting average. Rudiger hit at a .442 clip and held a .945 fielding percentage.

With a goal of finishing in the top half of the BRC, Coach LaBuda said, "A big factor will be how we come together as a team and how we focus and play defense. And of course pitching always plays a great role in fastpitch."
