On Tuesday, Colfax’s softball team hosted Pepin in a doubleheader that resulting in a pair of losses – 4-1 and 8-1.

“We just could not get too much going versus Breanna Ellison, their star pitcher,” said Colfax Coach Joe Doucette. “We only had three hits in 10 innings. … They did not hit the ball well either, but we walked too many. Nine of the 12 runs they scored were by people who had walked.”

Recording hits for the Vikings were Mallie Doucette, Karina Wait and Alexis Rudi. Lakkan Meredith and Rudi each took a loss on the mound. Colfax’s pitching staff ended up walking 13 batters, struck out two and allowed six hits.
