The Menomonie Theater Guild announces that its holiday show will be “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Charles M. Schulz. Based on the animated television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson, the stage adaptation was created by Eric Schaeffer by special arrangement with Arthur Whitelaw and Ruby Persson.
Director Katie Shay brings the classic tale to life as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts Gang discover the true meaning of Christmas. Perfect for little ones and families, A Charlie Brown Christmas features a cast of all children under the age of 13. They have worked on perfecting the characters you know and love, and cannot wait to bring their animated counterparts to life on the stage of the historic Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts (205 E. Main St., Menomonie).
Performances are Fridays, Dec. 1 & 8 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Dec. 2 & 9 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday’s Dec. 3 & 10 at 2 p.m.
