The Spirit of Christmas of Chippewa County is now receiving applications for inclusion in its program of distributing Christmas gifts to less fortunate families in Chippewa County. Applications are for gifts only, with those 17 and younger being top priority. Some adults may be considered to the extent that donated gifts allow.

This will be the 23rd year for the program.

Applications are available from the following locations during their regular office hours:

  • Chippewa County Department of Human Services — Economic Support, 711 N. Bridge St., Room 305, Chippewa Falls.
  • Starting Points, Inc., 13 E. Spruce St., Chippewa Falls.
  • Salvation Army Food Pantry, 521 N. Bridge St., Chippewa Falls.

All applications must be returned to one of the above three locations by Friday, Dec. 2 or mailed to: Spirit of Christmas of Chippewa County, PO Box 831, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.

All applications filed after Dec. 2 will be placed on a “wait and see” list. These late applications may or may not be considered, depending on lateness and/or availability of donated gifts on hand.

If applicants move to a new address or change their telephone number after filing their application, they must call (715) 726-0534 and leave a message with their new information, or we will not be able to send them the “Pick Up Gifts” letter, which is required in order for them to pick up their gifts.

Anyone with questions regarding this program can call and leave a message at (715) 726-0534.
