Wednesday, Nov. 8, 6 p.m.: Author and Wisconsin native Matthew Janzen will speak about his recently published book, “State of Craft Beer” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Chippewa Falls Public Library, 105 W. Central St. Janzen’s book is a unique journey through Wisconsin that captures the people and places behind the state’s extensive craft beer industry. Attendees are invited to Brewster Bros. Brewing Co., 402 W. River. St., afterward for special drink offers. This event is open to the public and no registration is required.

Thursday, Nov. 9, 1:30 p.m.: Triniteam Caregivers will host a Joy Day for those who are 60 years old or older or are disabled. The day will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Knights of Columbus Hall, 236 Pumphouse Road, Chippewa Falls. The day will include bingo, entertainment by Nostalgia and a light snack. Thursday, Nov. 9, 6—8 p.m.: The Heyde Center for the Arts will host “Taste of the North” from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, at 3 S. High St., Chippewa Falls. This event will feature Chippewa Valley’s best culinary artisans and fundraising efforts for the center. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy live music, learn from experts and browse art galleries. Cost of attendance is $30 per person, and funds raised from the event will benefit the center’s mission to bring high-quality, affordable arts to the Chippewa Valley. Participating businesses include Deb’s Café, Current Catering, Forage, Autumn Harvest Winery, Lucy’s Deli, Bloomer Brewery, Sheeley House, Sweet Clarisse Catering, Chippewa River Distillery and Brewster Bros.
