Dick Sprague was elected the new president of the Chippewa Falls Little League. Special Awards of Appreciation were presented to Chuck Frenette and Joe Lies for their help in the construction and care of the new Little League Field.

Mark Christenson of the Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club, exhibited the Grand Champion Lamb while Beth Christenson exhibited the lamb selected as Reserve Champion of the 1976 Northwest Junior Livestock Show.

Mrs. Joseph Toutant of Cadott, was honored on her 75th birthday with a dinner party at Reiter’s Steak house given by her three children and their families.

The Chippewa Falls Police Department responded to the following calls:

Monday, Aug. 21

10:48 a.m. Four “Cunningham for Sheriff” signs were reported stolen from different yard locations across the city. Incident reported by Jeffrey Soppeland.

2 p.m. Amber N. Hamilton, 19, was arrested for employee theft at Papa Murphy’s Pizza where $100 was reported stolen. The money was recovered from a car owned by Hamilton parked in the parking lot outside the restaurant.

Tuesday, Aug. 22

12:33 a.m. Debra Anderson, 46, was arrested for OWI, second offense, at Vine and Pear streets.
