A man was arrested early Thursday after police say he waived a handgun during an argument with a woman at a Chippewa Falls bar.
Mark W. Yohnk, of Chippewa Falls, was arguing with a woman at the T&C Roundabout Tavern early Thursday, said Chippewa County Sheriff James Kowalczyk. Yohnk then left the bar and returned with a handgun and began waiving it around. No shots were fired.
Judge Steven Gibbs on Friday set a $5,000 signature bond for Yohnk, 56, and ordered him to not to drink and not to carry weapons. Yohnk is ordered to return to court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7.
According to Kowalczyk, Yohnk pulled a handgun from underneath a coat and began waiving it near by the woman. She and Yohnk then pushed and shoved each other. When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the bar, the woman was found on the ground of a parking lot. She had cuts and scrapes and was taken to HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.
Yohnk was found later by deputies and declined medical treatment for injuries. He was arrested, and two handguns were seized.
