A tip about a man wanted on a warrant led to four people being arrested in Chippewa Falls on methamphetamine-related charges.
Arrested on Feb. 21 were: Steven C. Krueger, 29, N5154 County PP, Menomonie; Misty D. Cox, 38, Chippewa Falls; Xou L. Her, 39, 2803 Hemlock Lane, Eau Claire; and Alicia K. Goettl, 24, 1990 County DD, Bloomer.
Goettl was also arrested Feb. 24 for possessing meth while in jail.
The investigation by the West Central Drug Task Force was assisted by the Chippewa Falls Police Department.
According to Chippewa Falls Police Chief Wendy Stelter:
On Feb. 21, drug task force agents received information about a man staying at the Indianhead Motel in Chippewa Falls. The man, identified as Krueger, was wanted on a state Department of Corrections probation-parole warrant.
After surveillance, investigators found that Cox was staying with Krueger, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Krueger was violating a domestic abuse restraining order while being with Cox.
The drug task force received a report of meth use and sales happening in Krueger and Cox’s motel room, and a vehicle leaving the motel was stopped.
Goettl and Her were in the vehicle and were taken into custody, and both possessed meth paraphernalia.
Goettl and Her have been the focus of a number of meth distribution investigations in the recent past, and both were on bond for felony meth charges. Both were then taken to the Chippewa County Jail.
Krueger and Cox were arrested in the motel room. Both possessed meth and numerous articles of meth paraphernalia, including hypodermic needles and syringes.
Then on Feb. 24, drug task force agents investigated a report of delivery and use of meth in the jail. Goettl was then arrested.
She is charged with: three counts of felony delivery of meth; possessing meth paraphernalia; delivery of controlled substances in certain places; and felony bail-bond jumping. She is in jail on a $1,000 cash bond.
Krueger is charged with: possessing methamphetamine and meth paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place, violating a domestic abuse restraining order, and a state Department of Corrections probation warrant. He is being held in the Chippewa County Jail on the probation hold.
The charges against Cox are: possessing meth and meth paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and bail-bond jumping. She has posted a $100 cash bond.
Her is charged with possession of meth paraphernalia and felony bail-bond jumping from previous meth delivery charges in Eau Claire. He is in jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
The charges listed represent jail booking charges only. Formal charges, if any, will be detailed in a criminal complaint filed by the Chippewa County District Attorney’s Office.
