Christopher J. “Chris” Farmer, 41, of 5601 169th Street, Chippewa Falls, town of LaFayette, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 25, 1968, in Chippewa Falls, the son of James and Joan (Schubert) Farmer.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a maintenance mechanic for Berry Plastics. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by: two daughters, Jessica Wheeler of Chippewa Falls and Nicole Farmer of Eau Claire; his mother, Joan Farmer of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Richard (Carol) Farmer of Cadott and Dave Farmer of Chippewa Falls; four sisters, Jane (Mike) Miller of Forsyth, Ill., Julie (David) Potts of Eau Claire, Karol (Mike) Bednar of Farmington, Minn., and Karen (Brian) Swenson of River Falls; fiancee, Tammy Clark; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father, James Farmer; one brother, Scott Farmer; maternal grandparents, George and Agnes Schubert; and paternal grandparents, Curt and Dorothy Farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Arul Joseph will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial of cremains will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire at a later date.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 17 and until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls.
