Donald L. Dreke, 41, of Chippewa Falls was taken to heaven unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.

He was born Nov. 4, 1972, to Don and Ann (Hatfield) Dreke. He was raised in Stanley, and then in Cadott, until he finished school. He met Tracey Ross in 1988 and they married in 1994 and had two children. They divorced in 1998. He is well known for his skills as a mechanic and handyman. He helped many friends and family. He has left his mark on many lives.

Don is survived by: his mother, Ann; children, Donald J. Dreke and Alexandra Dreke; step-daughter, Samantha Warner; sister, Ginny Dreke; niece, Katie Walters; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Church of Notre Dame in Chippewa Falls. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at church. Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.

    Ann, Jinny and all the rest of the family. My husband and I send our condolences for the loss of Don. I always thought he was a great guy and he has left to soon. It had been many years since I had seen him but I never forgot the fun times we had at the Cadott Country Apartments. Cook outs parties and cards. Jinny and Ann if you need anything feel free to friend me on Facebook. Again I am so sorry for you loss. I send love and light to the entire family in this terribly difficult time

    Prayers to Don and his family. I too was a friend in high school but lost touch. I remember what a great friend and person you were!! You will be sadly missed by many my friend!!

    Donnie I wish I knew it was going to be the last time that I saw you Friday, I never got the chance to tell you how much I appreciated you and our friendship even if it was only every other weekend or even every weekend for that matter, I just wanted to write a little note here to tell you how good of a guy you were, absolutely great guy, we had a lot of good times and I hope in heaven you remember that and I wanted to tell you it was awesome knowing you buddy and all the good conversations we had. I miss you buddy, love ya man, R.I.P my bud

    I ame very sorry to the family of Don. I grew up with Don in our younger days in Cadott. We hung out and did many things together. Lost touch after school but will never forget all the good times. I passed along a prayer to all of Dons family. Till we meet again my friend you will be miss. R.I.P.
