CORNELL — Ella Marie Stoll, 99, of Cornell passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at the Cornell Area Care Center.
Ella was born April 25, 1918, the daughter of Nickola and Gertrude (Hollipeter) Evanoff in the Bruce, Wis. She grew up in the Cornell area and attended Cornell School. Ella was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Stoll Sept. 9, 1937, in the town of Estella. Following marriage, they farmed in the Cornell area and later owned and operated the Cornell Oil Company were Ella was the bookkeeper. Kenneth preceded her in death in October of 1980, and she married Gilbert Maug. She enjoyed sewing quilts, knitting mittens, was an excellent seam stress and she loved doing her quilting.
Ella is survived by her children, Karen (Clarence) Berg of Cornell, Barbara (Harley) Thompson of Cornell, Sandra Henneman of Eau Claire, and Delmer (Kate) Stoll of Stone Lake, Wis.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Inez (Ralph) Kinsey and Jerry Evanoff both of Oregon, Margie (Bill) Snow and Tom Evanoff both of Washington; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth and Gilbert; two brothers, Nick, Jr. and Charlie Evanoff; and son-in-law, Raymond Miller.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cornell, with Pastor Beverly Thompson officiating. Interment will be at the Cornell Cemetery following the services. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
