CADOTT — Frances “Mozelle” (nee Hill) McBain, 68, of Cadott passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, with her family by her side after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born May 30, 1949, to Frances and Gladys (Jones) Hill in Western Grove, Ark. Frances married Darrel McBain July 11, 1970, at Western Grove Bible Church. They moved to Chippewa Falls and then moved to Cadott seven years later. Mozelle was employed at the Cadott School as a cook, then she worked at the Northern Center as a caregiver for 12 years, then she worked at the Stanley Prison in food service.
She enjoyed many things in life, Awana, Bowling League, 4-H, homemakers, gardening, traveling, her beloved family, reading, learning new things, going to the grandkids sporting events, gathering with friends and she loved to joke around.
Frances is survived by her loving husband, Darrel; daughters, Cindy Verdegan (Justin Goebel) and Julie Cabell; grandchildren, Dusty Verdegan, Bryce Verdegan, Karly Verdegan, Rayna Verdegan and Neil Goebel, Elijah Cabell and Alliah Cabell; brother, JD (Connie) Hill; nephews, Mike (Misty) Tabor and John David Hill; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Pastor Jim Woldhuis officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sandhill Cemetery in Yardell, Ark.
