Jacob Donald Young, 24, of Minneapolis, Minn., and formerly of Chippewa Falls and Hudson, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2013.

He graduated from Hudson High School in 2007, and earned his degree as a facility systems technician at Century College. Before moving to Minneapolis, Jacob worked in Eau Claire for Midwest Manufacturing.

Jacob is survived by: his parents; father David Young of Menomonie; mother Tamra Young of Hudson; brothers Aaron and Ethan; grandma Valeria Fetter of Hudson (formerly of Chippewa Falls); grandpa James Young of Appleton; beloved dog Bailey; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his grandpa, Donald A. Fetter; and grandma Joyce Young.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6:30 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, June 25 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th Street in Hudson. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Prairie View Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

Memorials are preferred to Union Gospel Mission — CRC Twin Cities, St. Paul, and Salvation Army Harbor Lights Center, Minneapolis.
