GREEN BAY, Wis. — Jean V. Anderl, 76, a longtime Green Bay area resident, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, after battling many health issues.
She was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Chippewa Falls, to Alfred and Loretta (Schneider) Geissler. On Aug. 5, 1961, she married Gerald “Jerry” Anderl in Chippewa Falls. Professional opportunities brought the couple to Green Bay, where they raised their three children. Jean loved children. She was a nursing assistant at St. Vincent Hospital in the pediatric unit. After relocating to San Diego, she cared for three children as a family nanny from 1987 to 2005. She returned to Green Bay to be closer to family.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and David Wegter, Green Bay and Wendy and Chris Hill, De Pere, Wis.; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kim Anderl, De Pere; five grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Wegter, Rachel Hill, Shawn (Becca) Hill, Brayden Anderl; three great-grandchildren, Arya, Lilian and Evelyn Hill; a brother, Gary and Mary Pat Geissler; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Iris and Marvin Jenneman, Sandy and James Sullivan; two sisters-in-law, Mary Geissler and Margie Geissler; Jerry’s family, Rosemary Gehring, Dorothy (John) Lichoff, Robert (Betty) Anderl, Richard (Margie) Anderl and Francis Anderl; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Keith and Glen Geissler.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:20 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane Green Bay. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Inurnment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
