BLOOMER — Roger R. Rubenzer, 77, passed away at his home Sunday, Dec. 31 2017.
He was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Bloomer, to Richard and Mary (Schwartz) Rubenzer. He married Lois Conrad Feb. 15, 1958, in Bloomer. He worked as a concrete layer, carpenter, maintenance supervisor and in construction. Roger enjoyed a good joke, whether he was ice fishing, hunting or playing cards. Roger always had a story to tell and if you have ever been in his garage you know he loved collecting “treasures.” He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Lois of Bloomer; sons, Randy (Anita), Greg (Melanie), Jeff (Leann) Rubenzer all of Bloomer; daughter, Lorre (Curt Arendt); brothers, Rodney (Elaine), Jim (Judy), Charlie (Lorraine) Dan (Catherine ) David (Lori), and Jerry (Lennis) Rubenzer; sisters, Karen Ahlm and Judy (Mark) Dahl; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Rubenzer; daughter, Dawn Lueck.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a spring burial in the Rufledt Cemetery.
