COLFAX — Wallace O. Cutting, 84, passed away at his home Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017.
He was born in the town of Grant, March 13, 1933, to Hiram and Tilla (Tweed) Cutting. He was proud to farm on the family farm which was homesteaded in 1863. He had a passion for antique threshing machines and John Deere two-cylinder tractors, even collecting the toy versions. Wally served as president and sexton of the American Cemetery in Popple Creek. He enjoyed working with horses, talking with his neighbors and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Grant (Barbara) Cutting of Chippewa Falls; and his sisters, Ella Lundequam of Dallas and Ethel Nelson of Colfax; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Tilla Cutting; brothers, Warren, Eldred, Reuben, William, Francis and Sherman Cutting.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, with a visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 P.M. Spring burial will be in the American Cemetery in the town of Grant, Dunn County.
