Wayne L. Waldusky, 86, of Chippewa Falls died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls.
Wayne was born June 19, 1931, in Chippewa Falls, the son of Arthur and Margaret (Bremness) Waldusky. Wayne graduated from Cadott High School in 1949. Wayne served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954, where he was stationed in San Diego. He had worked at Triangle Sport Shop and then retired from Gordy’s Hardware.
On June 20, 1959, Wayne married Carol Bourget at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cadott.
Wayne loved the outdoors, his hobbies, included bowling, camping, fishing, gardening, hunting and watching sports, but most of all, he cherished spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
He was a member of St. Charles Church, the American Legion Post #77, the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 and past Grand Knight.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Michael (Debra) and Thomas (Karie) Waldusky, both of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Kimberly (Mark) Amelse of Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren, Erica, Allison, Adam, Samuel and Benjamin Waldusky, Nicholas and Austin Amelse; and one great-granddaughter, Zariah Cole; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Lloyd Waldusky.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott, town of Sigel. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
