A 35-year-old and 19-year-old man are being sought for a burglary that occurred earlier this week.

Warrants were filed Tuesday for James A. Haiskanen, 35, 175 County Lane No. 11C, Durand, and Dakota E. Ranney,  19, whose last known address is 1816 Sherwood Blvd., Eau Claire. Each are charged with one count of burglary to a building or dwelling.

According to the complaint, Scott Myers reported a burglary to his residence at 6623 36th St., Wheaton, on Sunday. Several rifles and shotguns were taken.

On Monday, Joshua Anderson reported the theft of checks and two firearms from a business at 10176 20th St. Another burglary was also reported in Dunn County. That same day, Haiskanen and Ranney reportedly used a credit card stolen in the Dunn County burglary.

Three people, including Haiskanen, were taken into custody at Haiskanen’s home. A woman said Haiskanen and Ranney had stolen the guns, and she had transported the weapons to a storage unit in Pepin County. That storage unit was searched, and the guns, along with tools, auto parts and copper wire, were found.

The woman said Haiskanen drove Ranney and a female to a bus station in Eau Claire, and Ranney was headed to Hagertown, Md., and possibly planned to stay in Chambersberg, Pa.

Each warrant is extraditable. If convicted of the burglary, each man could serve up to six years in prison.
