The University of Wisconsin only had three players selected in the 2017 NFL draft, but all three — first-round picks T.J. Watt and Ryan Ramczyk and fourth-rounder Vince Biegel — have a chance to make an impact in the NFL and eventually rank among the best-ever UW exports at their positions.
That is particularly true of Watt and Biegel because UW has never produced an NFL Pro Bowl player at outside linebacker. Indeed, outside linebacker, safety and punter are the only positions where UW hasn't had either a Pro Bowler or a player named to the more exclusive all-NFL team.
Watt, Biegel and fellow outside linebacker Joe Schobert, a fourth-round pick in the 2016 draft, could change that in the next few years.
