The University of Wisconsin men's hockey team is out of the national rankings for the first time in more than a year.

The Badgers weren't included in the top 20 of the USCHO.com Division I men's poll on Monday.

They last were unranked in the poll of Jan. 23, 2017.

UW (14-15-4, 8-11-3-1 Big Ten Conference) lost twice to Minnesota last weekend at the Kohl Center, including a 7-1 defeat on Saturday.

The Badgers' departure left five Big Ten teams ranked: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 6 Ohio State, No. 10 Minnesota, No. 16 Penn State and No. 18 Michigan.

After a bye weekend, UW closes the regular season Feb. 23-24 at Ohio State.
