The Chi-Hi girls 400-yard freestyle relay swim team took 22nd place out of 24 teams in the event at Saturday's WIAA Division 1 state meet in Madison.
The Cardinals finished with a time of 3 minutes, 43.25 seconds. It was a slight improvement of their seed time of 3:43.26. Senior Haley Jones was the fastest swimmer for Chi-Hi, finishing her leg of the race in 54.38 seconds. Sophomores Grace Polhamus, Becca Adams and Sydnea Berg completed their legs in 55.95 seconds, 57.26 seconds and 55.66 seconds, respectively.
Cedarburg won the event with a time of 3:24.46. Middleton won the overall team state championship, topping Cedarburg by 71.5 points.
