COLFAX — A convincing first half from the Bloomer girls basketball team propelled the Blackhawks to a 58-31 nonconference victory on the road over Colfax on Tuesday.

Bloomer (7-2) held a commanding 34-10 advantage on Colfax (6-4) at the break. Bloomer led by as many as 30 points and outscored the Vikings 18-0 during a Blackhawk surge.

Sierra Raine notched a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead Bloomer. Raine converted on 5 of 12 shots from the field. Justyne Burgess added 11 points, with Isabella Jenneman at 10.

Rachel Scharlau had 12 points for the Vikings.

Bloomer outrebounded Colfax 36-26 and had 14 assists on their 20 made field goals.

The Blackhawks return to Heart O’North Conference play on Friday, when they host the Hayward Hurricanes in a battle of conference leaders.

Prairie Farm 58, Lake Holcombe 48

At Holcombe, the Chieftains were defeated by Prairie Farm (7-3) in a nonconference game.

Lake Holcombe trailed at the half 25-22.

Carley Yeager led the way for Lake Holcombe with 14 points with three made 3-pointers. Allison Hattamer added 13 points for the Chieftains.

Lake Holcombe (3-5) hosts Birchwood on Friday.

Boys Basketball

Lake Holcombe 74, Prairie Farm 52

At Holcombe, the Chieftains got a balanced offensive attack in their win over Prairie Farm (1-9).

Brady Webster led the way with 14 points on four 3-pointers, while dishing out five assists.

Kaden Kinney and Trent Novak each had 12 points in support. Wyatt Viegut controlled the boards for Lake Holcombe, pulling down 10 rebounds.

Lake Holcombe (7-2) returns to action on Friday, hosting Birchwood.
