WISCONSIN DELLS — The Cardinals got 20 points from Tyler Robarge and 13 more from Thomas Robarge to help pick up a 73-69 win over La Crosse Logan on Wednesday afternoon in a nonconference contest at Just A Game Fieldhouse.
Tyler Robarge was an efficient 8 of 10 from the field and added five rebounds to lead the Cardinals (6-3) while his brother Thomas was 3 of 6 from 3-point range and had six rebounds and five assists. Alex Nelson scored 10 points and Peyton Rogers and Bryce Daniels each had nine points in the win.
Chi-Hi plays West De Pere on Thursday morning in Wisconsin Dells.
Chi-Hi 2, Thief River Falls 2
At Thief River Falls, Minn., Chi-Hi opened tournament play with a tie against the hosts.
The Cardinals held a 2-0 lead in the third period, but the Prowlers stormed back to salvage a tie.
Isaac Frenette scored the opener for Chi-Hi midway through the second period off an assist by Lucas Steinmetz, and he doubled his tally with another goal 18 seconds into the third period with an assist from Bryce Elkin.
Hunter Larson started the comeback for Thief River Falls by scoring with 7:07 remaining in the third period. Aaron Myers tied the game for the Prowlers less than a minute later.
Neither team was able to score in overtime.
Chi-Hi (5-3-1) faces Fort Frances in tournament play on Thursday at 2:45 p.m.
