Opposing teams might consider themselves lucky to just get a hit off of the McDonell baseball pitching staff anymore.

The Macks threw their third no-hitter of the year Tuesday in the last game of the regular season, a 4-1 win over Greenwood.

Kyle Cody and Robby Cooper teamed up for this no-hit bid with Cody pitching six innings and Cooper pitching the seventh.

Cody struck out nine and walked three while Cooper had one strikeout and no walks.

Cooper also led at the plate with three RBIs on a 2-for-4 day.

McDonell's previous no-hitters this season were May 4 against Thorp and May 18 against Cadott. Andy Davis threw a complete game against the Cardinals while Ben Ochs pitched six against the Hornets with Jake Tenold throwing the seventh.

McDonell coach Eric Wedemeyer said earlier this season that the last McDonell no-hitter was in 2002.
