The Family of Daniel Scheckel
We wish to express our deep gratitude to the many people
who honored our son, Daniel Scheckel, and expressed their
sympathy with prayers, kind words, cards, flowers, calls, and
attendance at his visitation and Funeral Mass.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to Luke and Emma
McCoy of Torkelson Funeral Home for their compassionate
assistance.To the pallbearers who honored Dan with
their presence: Kurt Baumgarten,Tom Baumgarten, Walter
Gnewikow, Greg Grovesteen, Ed Grygleski, Jr., David Hall,
Oakley Moser,Teddy Scheckel, and Scott Tubbs.To Patrick
and Marit Scheckel for their inspiring readings.To Shawn
Fish for her lovely tribute to Dan.To Monsignor Scheckel for
his poignant eulogy.To the accompanist, Barb Zupancich,
soloist, Melanie Frei, and the Resurrection Choir for their
beautiful music, the Officiant, Monsignor Roger Scheckel, and
concelebrant Monsignor Richard Gilles, the Mass servers, Katie
Pierce for the Mass Program, and our Queen of the Apostles
Parish family who all created such a beautiful service for
Dan and have been so compassionate. We wish to thank the
ladies of the PCCW for their wonderful luncheon and Pam
Long of The Station for the exquisitely beautiful flowers. We
also wish to thank his doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists,
and all other health care professionals at Gundersen Health
for their compassionate care, and Father William Dhien who
administered the Last Rites to Dan.
We are deeply grateful to all of you.Your love and support
mean so much to us and help to ease our sorrow. We were so
blessed to have Dan in our life. He taught us so much about
what is truly important in life, to appreciate the beauty and joy
in ordinary things, and the blessing of family. Dan had a loving
spirit, a happy outlook, and a beautiful smile. We will miss Dan
deeply. He will live forever in our hearts.
