Ethan Fleming drove in two runs to lead the Kristo Orthodontics Tin Caps to a 6-2 win over the Olson’s Ice Cream Rockhounds on May 7 in Chippewa Falls Youth Baseball Minors action.

Fleming’s two-run single gave the Tin Caps a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning. Austin McGraw doubled and drove in one, Ashton Baldesweiler had a single and RBI and Connor Kolinski singled for the Tin Caps.

McGraw struck out six in two innings before Dylan Anderson, Kolinski and Baldesweiler combined to strike out eight in the final four innings.

Grayson singled and doubled for the Rockhounds. Matt Frenette and Logan each had an RBI and Sam singled as well. Frenette struck out five in two innings on the mound.

Tin Caps 13, Rattlers 0

Connor Kolinski had three hits including a double and an RBI for the Tin Caps in a win over the Rattlers on May 12. Austin McGraw had two hits including a triple and drove home three runs. Avery Baldesweiler also had three RBIs to go with two singles.

Collinski and Baldesweiler each struck out six batters in two innings of work on the mound for the Tin Caps (2-0).

Evan singled for the Lafayette Rattlers (0-2).


Mariners 6, Rockies 3

The J&F Facility Services Mariners scored five runs in the first inning to power a victory over the Chippewa Valley Finishing Services Rockies on May 7.

Adam Anderson struck out three in three innings on the mound and Guyton Patrow pitched two innings of relief for the victorious Mariners.

Ethan Foiles doubled while Guyton Patrow, Jackson LeMay, Devan Bush, Dean Hanson, Anderson and Isaiah Boehnen each had singles for the Mariners.

Jackson Hoem doubled while Andrew Davis, Noah Potter and Cole Perlberg each singled for the Rockies (0-1). Perlberg added eight strikeouts in three innings of pitching.

Cardinals 13, Twins 2

Tyler Carol and Carson Wedemeyer each doubled for the Thaler Oil Cardinals in a big win over the Lee Beverage Twins on May 8.

Carter Bowe added a single for the Cardinals with Carol striking out nine and Wedemeyer striking out three during their pitching appearances.

Sam Hebert, Brecken Boisvert and Drew Bowe each singled for the Twins. Boisvert and Grant Smiskey had five strikeouts apiece on the mound.

Cardinals 17, Rays 0

Jack Hedger had four hits including three doubles to lead the Thaler Oil Cardinals over The Natural Touch Rays 17-0 on May 10.

Jack Zwiefelhofer and Braden Dickerson were sharp on the mound for the Cards (2-0), combining to strike out 11 batters in four innings.

Mason Books had four strikeouts and Brayden Bradford added three on the mound for the Rays (0-1).

Indians 6, Mariners 5

Tyler Carroll had two hits including a double and an RBI and Jayce Hansen added a single and two RBIs for the Dave’s Northside Indians in a tight win over the J&F Facility Services Mariners on May 12.

Hansen drove home both his runs to win the game while Carroll was the winning pitcher, striking out seven in three innings while Carson Wedemeyer struck out four in 2.1 innings for the Indians (2-0).

Devan Bush was 3-for-3, finishing a home run short of the cycle and driving in three runs with Adam Anderson striking out five in three innings for the Mariners (1-1).


Giants 12, Pirates 2

The Rotary Club Giants shut down the State Farm Jeff Flaig Pirates on May 9.

Mason Monarski, Reinhart Bromeisl, Evan Eslinger, Dalton McGraw and Gavin Lang each had singles for the Giants with Monarski and Cooper Peloquin tossing four innings on the mound.

Trevor Bowe blasted a triple, Mark DeBruyckere doubled and Owen Krista and Dan Fredrick each had singles for the Pirates.

Owen Krista, Jeff Dvoracek, Dawson Goodman and Zach LeMay each saw time on the mound for the Pirates.

Giants 7, Angels 7

The Rotary Club Giants and Scheels Angels played to a tie on May 12.

Karson Bowe and Collin Beaduette each went deep for the Giants while Riley Wolf tripled and Cooper Peloquin and Logan Boettcher each singled for the Giants. Bowe and Beaudette combined to pitch six innings for the Giants.

Carsten Reeg drilled a home run, Mayson Tester and Ben Starck each had two singles and Mason Howard, Jace Zwiefelhofer and Trayen Bowe had singles for the Angels. Howard, Reeg and Ezra Lindstrom combined to throw seven innings for the Angles.

Pirates 9, Braves 8

Owen Krista had two hits with a triple and double for the State Farm Jeff Flaig Pirates in a tight victory over the Northwestern Bank Braves.

Dawson Goodman added three hits including a two-bagger and Dan Fredericksen had the game-winning hit for the Pirates.

Nate Mewhorter had two hits including a double for the Braves.
