Elk Meadow 4-H helps promote June Dairy Month

On June 7, members of the Elk Mound community were able to enjoy free ice cream treats to celebrate June dairy month at the Elk Mound Lion’s park. The ice cream treats were handed out by the Elk Meadow 4-H club.

Members answered dairy questions and other inquiries about their 4-H projects. The dairy promotion featured a display entitled “rethink your drink” which portrays the amount of sugar in popular beverages. The display also included information about dairy that the community could take home with them.

This 4-H youth interacted with the Elk Mound community by leading them in making butter with whipping cream and also helped them to make milk fireworks.
