MENOMONIE — Bill H. Bosshart, 84, of Menomonie passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Glenhaven in Glenwood City, Wis.
Bill was born Jan. 25, 1934, to Walter and Elizabeth (Dunnigan) Bosshart, in Knapp. Bill attended Boyceville Elementary School and graduated from Boyceville High School in 1952. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army.
On June 1, 1956, Bill married Jean Ellen Bygd in Glenwood City.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading, and spending time with his family. He worked as a residential carpenter for Manley Halverson of Menomonie and then for Derrick Construction of New Richmond, Wis.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jean E. (Bygd) Bosshart; three daughters, Denise (Dean) Tabor, Rene’ (Tom) Turchany, and Jackie (Don) Goodell; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Goodell, Shawn (Dwylette Sykes) Goodell, Shanna (Joel) Turchany Stevens, Seth Tabor, Amber (Matt Struck) Goodell, Jessica (Jared) Turchany Donicht, Chelsea (Erica) Tabor, Tiffany (Trent) Turchany Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Anissa Goodell, Griven Goodell, Oliver Goodell, Sophie Stevens, Huxton Donicht, and Bexley Tabor; two brothers-in-law, Lamont (Judy) Bygd, Orland (Pat) Bygd; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Martha Gabor, and Kathleen Lentsch; two brothers-in-law, Joe Gabor, and Tom Lentsch; one infant son, Bradley Jay Bosshart; mother-in-law, Susanna (Luptak) Bygd; and father-in-law, Arthur Bygd.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Deacon Wesley Tuttle officiating. There will be visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville, with military honors by Harmon-Harris American Legion Post 314.
