RICHMOND, Wis. — Julia Wold, 93, of New Richmond died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the St. Croix Health Center surrounded by her family.
Julia was born the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Yamriska) Fizel April 11, 1924, in Connorsville, Wis. She attended the Oakland School through eighth grade. On November 22, 1950, Julia was married to Bruce Wold at Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville. They moved their family to New Richmond in 1964. Julia was a homemaker and provided daycare from her home for 40 years. She was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, listening to Brewer games, dancing, and being grandmother and great-grandmother. Julia was kind and a welcoming host. She was always ready to help anyone in need.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna (Yamriska) Fizel; siblings, Zella (Don) Evaska, Melvin Fizel, Elvina (Shay) Kohliff, Ethel (George) Lowell, Leona (Paul) Pterick; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Fizel, Linda Fizel; and brothers-in-law, Lowell Graff and Ray Amundson. Julia is survived by her children, David (Debbie) Wold, Tim Wold (Lisa); grandchildren, Monica (Pat Huhtala) Wold-Fletcher, Elizabeth (Matt) Sund, Sarah (John Weddle) Wold, Jeff (Sherri) Coleman, Chrissy Cross, Justin Wold (Jessie); great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Riley, and Logan Fletcher, Lauryn and Hayden Sund, Tylor Alton, Bella Weddle, Parker and Lila Coleman, Riley Dulon, Brooklynn Francis, Danica Wold; siblings, John Fizel, Leon Fizel, Robert Fizel, Betty Graff, Martha Amundson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 365 W. River Dr., New Richmond. Visitation will also be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the New Richmond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Julia’s great-grandchildren. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel.
