On June 25, 2018, Nancy Louise Bowman Neufer, daughter of Marjorie Bish and Clyde A Bowman, passed away after a brief illness.
Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Eisten “Neuf” Neufer; and her sister, Mary Alice Bowman Fisher; Nancy is grieved by her three children, Martha Neufer Sokol, Eric Neufer, and Vickie Neufer Louden; and six grandchildren.
She enjoyed her life immensely with great appreciation and zest for living. She loved her 18 years in North Carolina at both Fearrington Village and Twin Lakes after having moved frequently since her birth in Menomonie and before retiring in North Carolina. She remained in close touch with many of the friends she made in the various places she lived, including her very special circle of childhood friends from Menomonie. A vibrant community member, she was a longstanding active sister in PEO, a leader for many years in AFS, and an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Her enthusiasm, joy, and determination remain an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. As one of her grandkids put it, “she was a wonderful woman and a damn good Grandma.”
A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, in the Twin Lakes Chapel in Burlington, N.C.
She is dearly missed.
Cards, remembrances, and memorial acknowledgements may be sent to Eric Neufer, 9055 N. 29th St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85028.
