The congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (1100 Ninth St., Menomonie) welcomes the arrival of its new pastor. Aaron Schulz will soon join Pastor Brett Voigt.

Schulz is a 2016 graduate of the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon. He grew up in West Bend and attended Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson. His wife, Alissa, grew up in Hortonville and attended Fox Valley Lutheran in Appleton.

While still in high school, they met at Camp Phillip in Wautoma doing some volunteer work with Jesus Cares Ministries. Schulz is a graduate of Martin Luther College and Alissa earned her special education degree at UW-Eau Claire. Before his graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, they spent a summer in Farmington, N.M. doing some multi-cultural ministry. They also spent Schulz's vicar year in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

In addition to welcoming Aaron and Alissa, along with their two boys, Amos and Isaiah, a special service for Schulz's ordination and installation is planned for Sunday, June 19 at 3 p.m. Members of the community are invited to join with St. Paul's congregation for this special welcome.
