As the election rapidly approaches, voters can look at the Assembly record of Jarchow.
Consider that he has sponsored bills to eliminate protections for citizens, repeal Wisconsin rules for air pollution, to eliminate the increasing standard for energy companies to acquire alternative energies, to exempt non-federal wetlands from regulations.
He worked to pass laws curtailing local control, was part of a bill to curtail free speech at universities, worked to eliminate the forestry tax that supports county forestry departments, eliminated protections for citizens from diesel exhaust in older trucks, allowed infants to hunt deer, created exemptions to allow guns on school property. He made it more difficult for a person wrongfully imprisoned to receive compensation, sponsored sulfide mining, sponsored fewer regulations for high capacity wells despite verified problems. He sponsored voting for delegates to a constitutional convention, supported elimination of prevailing wage, and the list goes on.
These are only the bills Jarchow was involved in writing or sponsoring.
I would encourage voters to look at his voting record for all bills passed by the Assembly. It appears Jarchow votes against protections for water, the environment, and local rights.
